Becki Newton

Becki was raised in Guilford Connecticut. When she was 13, Becki began to perform in local shows, such as the community theater and summer stock. She pursued a degree in European History at the University of Pennsylvania at the time, and during this her time there she spent a number of years overseas. Becki was immediately moved to NYC upon graduation, to pursue Broadway. After performing in numerous commercials across the country and guest-starring roles such as Cold Case (2003), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), and American Dreams (2002), she was offered the role of Amanda on Ugly Betty (2006). She's married to the actor Chris Diamantopoulos, and her brother is actor Matt Newton. They're beautiful, but not models of the highest caliber. It's an honor that I'm not worried about the red carpet at work since I'm not an expert. With regards to my looks, I'm no frightened to try something new. Glam is fun! It's not about being fussy, but about looking after your self. I've realized that there's no harm in being a little fussy. I used to think I wasn't very meticulous and took it as a badge.
